Aesthetic Earthworks does not use chemical pesticides, herbicides or synthetic fertilizers in our landscapes. We believe in cultivating spaces that are self-sustaining which thrive independent of excessive intervention. Organic gardening is made possible by choosing the right plant material with consideration for orientation, light, exposure, soil quality and climate. Once established our gardens become a cohesive force in the surrounding environment.

Organic gardening depends on maintaining the earth's naturally occurring micro-organisms, enriching the soil with composts and protecting it with mulches. We try to encourage beneficial birds and insects to help us prevent the stresses of pests and diseases. We avoid compacting the soil and aerate our gardens by pitchfork regularly. This allows root systems to penetrate the surrounding soil, extracting water and nutrients vital to their health.

Our commitment to the environment extends beyond the garden. We do not utilize polluting and noisy mowers, blowers or unnecessary gas-powered machinery. We believe in human labour and careful consideration of all aspects of the landscape, including the families and neighbors who call it home.
